Are you ready for the second step in your HR career? We are looking for a hands-on and pragmatic (medior) HR Business Partner.

Wat ga je doen?

You have a high energy level, strong pragmatic mind set and the ability to effectively partner with business leaders and employees. As an HR Business Partner you are responsible for implementing HR initiatives, HR operations, acting as a business partner to the different business teams and managers, driving employee engagement, encouraging employee development and adopting a performance culture. You will manage the whole HR Cycle from on- and off- boarding, performance management, employee relations, contract management, absence management and career development. You will support and assist the business leaders with the roll-out of new initiatives, projects, performance management and compensation processes. You will amongst others be:

  • Responsible for vacancies and managing, together with the recruitment team, the recruitment process, including job interviews, presenting offers and onboarding new hires.
  • Coaching, facilitating and supporting managers in managing performance, talent and development processes including training, development and managing employee relations.
  • Acting as first point of contact for employees for HR matters, as well via e-mail as phone and face to face.
  • Drafting job descriptions, in collaboration with management.
  • Monitoring, coordinating and facilitating illness case management, including having frequent illness conversation, monitoring and handling long-term illness cases and implementing preventive measures.
  • Drafting of HR-related correspondence and HR reports.
  • Actively participating in Human Resources projects, topics depending on your preferences.

Over de organisatie

A global leader in the sourcing, handling, processing and marketing of agricultural commodities and products. With over 16.000 employees, 180+ storage and handling facilities and 30+ processing and refining facilities, their business oversees the whole supply chain, from the farm gate to the customer. Through longstanding relationships, strategically mapped asset footprint and focus on food and feed safety, they create value for agricultural producers at origin and for customers at destination. The Human Resources Department is located in Rotterdam. The HR department consists of Salary admin, HR officers, HR Business Partners and HR management. You will report to the HR Team Lead Business Partner and work closely with different business departments and HR colleagues.

Over je profiel

In order to be successful in this position, you have:

  • HBO degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in HR with comprehensive knowledge of employment practices in the Netherlands.
  • Experience with the full recruitment cycle.
  • Hands-on and flexible mentality.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills, you know how to influence via your communication skills.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Good Business English skills.
